Skip Bayless says Nets are title favorites after Durant news
With the breaking news that superstar Kevin Durant is going to stay with the Nets organization, sports personality Skip Bayless believes the team may be favored to win the NBA Finals next season.
Fox Sports analyst Skip Bayless tweeted, “KD stays. Nets should be favored to win it all.”
This comes after a roller-coaster of an offseason for Brooklyn’s franchise. Earlier this Summer talented guard Kyrie Irving couldn’t come to terms on an extension, which lead to a few weeks of trade rumors. However amid recent trade inquires, the Nets have stood firm on keeping the seven-time All-Star.
After Kevin Durant reiterated his trade request a few weeks ago it seemed that he had no intentions of returning to Brooklyn. The Celtics briefly discussed a trade which included Jaylen Brown and Defensive Player of the Year Marcus Smart.
Relations between the parties seemed so bad that Durant at one point was considering not to training camp.
