Green, a three-time NBA champion with the Golden State Warriors, Saginaw native and former Michigan State basketball star, will join Ernie Johnson, Shaquille O’Neal, Kenny Smith and Charles Barkley as his schedule allows during Thursday nights and throughout the playoffs.
The 31-year-old three-time NBA All-Star has been a guest on the «Inside» panel in years past, showing a knack for TV analyst role after his playing days.
This deal starts that process while Green continues his career on the court.
“Draymond is an incredibly versatile talent, both on the court and in front of the camera,” said Tara August, Turner Sports’ senior vice president, talent services and special projects, in a statement.
“He’s a team player in every sense, while offering a distinct perspective that is highlighted by his keen basketball IQ, charismatic delivery and forthright, thoughtful opinions that include and extend beyond sports. We’re thrilled to more formally welcome him to the Turner Sports family.”
Green, currently out with a back/calf injury, will join the show after Thursday night’s coverage of the Warriors and Minnesota Timberwolves on TNT. He also has joined the podcast space with «The Draymond Green Show,» and has interview several other NBA players, including Kevin Durant, which made several headlines, within the last few years.
