Blazers & Rockets coaching staff wear Kobe’s as a tribute and we’re all for it

The tributes for Kobe Bryant keep pouring in.

Skyscapes have gone purple and gold.

Murals have been painted on the sides of buildings.

Players are changing their jersey numbers from 8 and 24 to something else.

And now, coaches are wearing Bryant’s signature shoes.

Terry Stotts, as well as assistant Jim Moran wore the «Del Sol» Nike Kobe 4s. Assistants Dale Osbourne and Nate Tibbetts wore a different series.

The entire Rockets coaching staff all wore matching red Kobe’s, as well.

It’s a trend that has been going around the league.

Dallas Mavericks head coach and President of the NBA Coaches Association Rick Carlisle started the trend earlier in the week and it has trickled down.

It’s a nice tribute from the coaches and also a more comfortable alternative from their Allen Edmunds dress shoes.
